Good to know
New clients, senior pets and puppies should plan on a three to four and a half hour visit for their first grooming session, and the salon calls if the pet is finished earlier. It does not matter how many times a pet has been groomed before: a new place is a new situation, and even the best-behaved animal reacts to it.
The groomers watch for signs of stress and give the pet a break when they see them, then try to resume. If the pet is still very stressed they stop and ask the owner how to proceed. They put humanity before vanity and will not push an animal past its limits.
There may be an additional charge for excessive matting, aggression or a skunked dog; the salon tries to reach the owner first and agree a plan.
