My cockateil is 4-5 years old, and he used to be on a pellet diet, but since I changed him to a seed and pellet one, his dropping have looked abnormal and darker, and he shakes/shivers.

Dylan Wilson, DVM Verified VetKY license 293504

I would get this cockatiel evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. The stool description and shaking has me concerned of potential dehydration and or neurological symptoms.

Answered from your description alone, without examining your pet. That makes this general information, not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription, and it is not intended to establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. There is only so much anyone can tell from a message. For guidance specific to your pet, book an appointment so a vet can examine them properly.
